First, we will prepare the filling for the tortellini. Mix the ricotta cheese in a bowl with the basil leaves, combining the two ingredients very well.

Add salt, pepper and the garlic paste to the mixture.

Lastly, add the nutmeg. Let the mixture sit.

Now it's time to make the pasta. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin or pasta maker. Fill the tortellini and seal each one very well so they don’t come apart while cooking.

Next, cook the pasta until it is al dente or at the desired doneness.

In a pan over medium heat, heat the oil and add the pasta and tomato sauce. Cook for about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top and add some basil leaves to the plate to intensify the flavor.
