The International Contest L’Orciolo d’Oro, organized by the gastronomic society Enohobby Club dei Colli Malatestiani, has awarded one of its prizes “Distinizione” to the GOYA® Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the Light Fruity category.

In this event, which has been organized since 1999 in Italy, there is a wide representation of extra virgins from producing countries around the world, especially the Mediterranean Basin.

Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition is a reference in the United States in contests on AOVE and the fifth contest in importance at world level, meeting the highest standards in the awarding of medals to the best oils from around the world.

The International Wine and Spirits Competition and International AOVE Cata annually brings together expert scavengers who choose from hundreds of oils and wines from around the world that they consider the best of the year. This year coinciding with the designation of Huelva as Capital of Gastronomy 2017, this international competition has been held in the capital of Huelva.

The International Wine and Spirits Competition Cinve was born in 2006 in Malaga with the aim of attracting Andalusia to international tasters. At the moment it is an international highlight, officially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

On February 22 nd, the interview program Mi Casa es la tuya conducted by Bertín Osborne had a guest dearly beloved by the audience, Real Betis midfielder Joaquin.

With his usual sense of humor, the player remembered an endless number of anecdotes about his sports career. In the kitchen, Joaquín and Bertín were helped by the mother of the player, Ana, with whom they prepared monkfish with fried bread. As an accompaniment, Joaquín’s wife Susana prepared a salad, seasoned with our GOYA® Único Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Familia de productos Goya en la SMTS 2017

GOYA® products have been present at the Supermarket Trade Show Japan held from 15 to 17th  February. Together with other Spanish companies in the food and beverage sector, Goya Spain has shown its latest developments in today’s Spanish Group Pavilion organized by FIAB.

Organized by the New Supermarket Association of Japan (NSAJ), Japan’s largest food supermarket association and whose members account for about half of all distribution areas in Japan, SMTS has become the premier trade show in Japan. Asia dedicated to the supply of distribution.

Japan has ranked third in the extra-community export ranking of the food and beverage industry. With a share of 2.4%, it represents one of the most attractive Spanish product destinations. Precisely the Japanese consumer is characterized by the taste for demand and excellence, expectations that the Spanish product meets and whose consumption has experienced a great boom in the country (source FIAB).

For three days, the Ningbo Done commercials team received a complete training that included visits to the farms of Goya Spain, factory and tasting sessions.

The third issue of the magazine Olivatessen by Mercacei has featured GOYA® olive oils.

For the first time, the GOYA® Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the  Único Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the Sherry Vinegar Reserva to Pedro Ximénez have been the back cover of the Olivatessen magazine.

Edited by Mercaei, Olivatessen is an English publication with 15,000 copies dedicated exclusively to promoting extra virgin olive oil culture, gastronomy and the Mediterranean Diet, and to value its protagonists.

Along with the online version, Olivatessen is available at major international fairs and agri-food shows. Likewise, it can be located in the main gourmet and delicatessen stores of the capitals of Europe, Asia and America; Michelin-starred themed restaurants and Mediterranean cuisine; Department stores such as Harrods or Galeries Lafayette; Resorts and establishments dedicated to oleotourism, as well as gastronomic associations and cooking schools.

After its participation in the 2016 edition, Goya Spain plans to attend the 2017 edition of SIAL China, which will be held in Shanghai from the 17th to 19th of May.

Under the slogan “Inspire the Future of Food Business”, the 2017 edition of SIAL China will maintain the upward trend in the number of exhibitors and visitors.

The 2016 edition had 2,942 exhibitors (7.6% more than in 2015) from 67 countries worldwide, and 30 provinces of China, presenting their latest products and trends in food, receiving over 76,986 visitors (25.6% more than in 2015). Goya Spain also visited Latin America, where it participated in SIAL Brasil, held in the city of São Paulo in the month of June.
