Goya Spain products were present in the new edition of Fine Food Australia, from 11st to 14th September at ICC Sydney.

From its own stand in the Pavilion Flavors of the World and next to the PFB distributor (Premier Food and Beverages), showed the attendees to this fair the new products that make up the Goya family.

Thus, within the olive oils, Goya Spain took to Fine Food the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the Unico Extra Virgin Olive Oil, premium olive oil with an intense aroma to fresh herbs, fruit trees and orchards of tomatoes.

As for the family of olives, Goya Spain showed both olives stuffed with peppers, black olives, speciality stuffed olives (blue cheese, hot peppers and tuna), as well as reduced sodium capers and Salad Olives.

Likewise, the vinegars (Balsamic, Jerez vinegar to Pedro Ximénez and Jerez vinegar Reserve to Pedro Ximénez) and the gazpacho occuped a prominent place in the stand of Goya Spain.

Goya Spain bets decisively on the training of its workers. Thus, its Training Plan has different formative actions incompany oriented to the specialization of the staff of its factory in Alcalá de Guadaíra.

With this action Goya Spain gives continuity to the training plan implemented throughout 2017, with courses and training actions for the staff of the different departments of the factory.

Among those developed in the first semester are the Olives Tasting Course, in order to know in depth the protocols and sensorial parameters of the professional olive tasting.

Guided by a leading scientist at the Institute of Fat in Seville, the staff of Goya Spain made a complete tour of areas such as sensory analysis, knowledge of attributes and intensities or identification of the multiple typologies of this vital fruit.

Another of the formative actions has focused on the graphic retouching with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere. Finally, the training for the staff of Goya Spain has been completed with a course on Safety in the Handling of Forklifts.

So, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been awared with the “Gold medal” and Único Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the “Great Gold Prestige” award of the Olivinus competition, the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition in South America, Centro America and the Caribbean held in the Argentine city of Mendoza last August.

In its 2017 edition, Olivinus has had the participation of 202 companies from around the world from 17 different countries. This contest ranks first in the EVOO World Ranking – a ranking obtained from the results of the main international competitions on extra virgin olive oil – with the same score for TerraOlivo (Israel), Los Angeles New York (United States), Domina IOOC (Italy), BIOL (Italy), Mario Solinas (Spain) and EVOOLEUM (Spain).

The ANUGA food and beverage trade fair, which will take place from the 7th to the 11th of October in Cologne (Germany), will once again be able to count on the participation of Goya.

Thus, at ANUGA 2017, Goya will add to the presentation of its products and latest innovations its presence at the “Olive Oil Bar” in the special show “Olive Oil Market”, a marketplace for promotion and tasting purposes, with Goya® Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (in the slightly fruity category) and Goya® Unico Extra Virgin Olive Oil (in the fairly fruity category).

Goya España boasts their own 30-square-meter stand (Hall 11.1, Stand B009b), located in the Spanish pavilion. This stand will showcase a wide selection of Goya España’s agrifood offerings, endorsed by the iTQi and Chef Best quality seals, in addition to other innovations, most notably olives stuffed with blue cheese, organic extra virgin olive oil, its line of vinegars and gazpacho.

Likewise, Goya intends to showcase its exportable offerings at the ANUGA General pavilion Fine Food, with a stand of over 100 square meters (Hall 11.2, Stand C11).

SIAL China 2017

Goya Spain, a leading company in the Andalusian oil sector, has shown its offer at the fair in SIAL China, held in the city of Shanghai from 17 to 19 May. This agri-food fair is one of the opportunities for greater market prospects thanks to the growth and size of the Asian country.

SIAL China is an exhibition dedicated to food and beverages, with the participation of approximately 3,200 exhibitors from 70 countries and about 80,000 professionals, and has a specific area for this channel and another especially reserved for the exhibition of wine and liquor companies, Dairy and meat products.

As confirmed by the Extenda Andalusia Promotion Agency, the most demanded products by China include pork, olive oil, wine and fish, reflecting changes in consumption habits and interest in Options offered by the Andalusian sector. Therefore, Goya Spain has shown its different families of products.

Exports of food and beverages from Andalusia to China grew in 2016 by 41% compared to 2015 and in the last decade (2010-2016) have more than quadrupled (358%).
