Goya Foods has collaborated with various charities in the the delivery of food to the Venezuelan population. This action is reflected by Informe21 because of the delivery by Goya Foods to Rescate Venezuela of more than 3,000 cans of black beans for 5 charities located in the states of Aragua, Capital District, Miranda and Vargas.
These donations have benefited about 700 people, including children and senior citizens, who are treated in the different care centers.
Rescate Venezuela has valued the donation by Goya Foods so that the beneficiary organizations can continue to provide help and services, while hoping to continue delivering food and assistance to other Venezuelan institutions.

As Abasto includes, the NSA Show 2019 was held at the Resorts World Casino in New York, with nearly 300 local and international businesses attending the show. More than one thousand visitors walked the one day show to do business and learn about new food trends and offers that are in the market.

“We believe that this recognition by the NSA is a recognition of our relationship with our customers, with our consumers and especially about what we do on a social level. From last year we have donated more than 300 thousand tons of products in the United States to help low-income communities. It is a recognition of brand, effort and tradition”, declared Jesús A. The donation is part of Goya Gives, a global initiative committed to supporting local communities through social and environmental causes. Goya has donated millions of pounds of food to organizations worldwide and continues to support over 300 organizations, events and cultural institutions. “It is an honor to kick off our Puerto Rican Festival weekend by partnering up with Goya and their Goya Gives initiative in the continuous effort of giving back to our communities,” said Edwin Alicea, President of the Puerto Rican Festival of Massachusetts.

Goya’s extra virgin olive oils continue reaping awards at international events. On this occasion, recognition went to Goya “Organics”, which received a Grand Mention in the “Intense Fruity” category of the International “Armonia” Olive Oil Competition, organized by the Parma Olive Oil Academy (Italy).
The “Armonia” Contest, which is in its 13th year this year, is the first and only extra virgin olive oil event that brings together producers, tasters, chefs, food lovers, and consumers. Thus, “Armonia” recognizes the best international extra virgin olive oils, promoting their use in the kitchen, in restaurants, and in international haute cuisine and gastronomy schools.
With this Grand Mention in the Armonia Olive Oil Competition, Goya “Organics” has been able to strengthen its international projection as it is now included in the Parma Olive Oil Academy’s International “Elaioteca” (“Olive Oil Library”), a culinary training and promotion program for haute cuisine and cooking schools. Likewise, Goya’s premium olive oil will also be included as an oil highlighted on the “I Ristoranti Internazionali dell’Olio” circuit, which has a presence in restaurants in New York, Toronto, Montreal, Heidelberg, Tokyo, São Paulo do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul, Sydney, and Singapore.
